The Persatuan Nasional Penjanakuasa Bebas Malaysia or “Penjanabebas” in short, is the Association of the Independent Power Producers (IPP) of Malaysia. “Penjanabebas” is the brainchild of the first IPP in Malaysia and was registered on 13th June 1995.

The Association’s registered address is at 7th Floor, Yeoh Tiong Lay Plaza, 55 Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. The Association was formed, bearing in mind, that its objectives are to promote and support the development of an excellence driven industry of independent power producer, while protecting and maintaining the quality of the environment and upholding the principles of good environmental management.

The Association is also bent on promoting a caring corporate type culture amongst its members and to contribute towards the national development and to work towards achieving the objectives of our Prime Minister’s vision, i.e. “Vision 2020″, while sharing experiences and encouraging cooperation and support among its fellow members. It also hopes to increase the public’s interest and understanding with regards to the Electricity Supply Industry.
